The PGRAC of Glasgow has organised a Speakers’ Night, which will be taking place on Friday 25th April 2025 within the M.T. 1543 Shettleston Road, Glasgow, G32 9AS at 7pm for 7.30pm. 

 

This promises to be an evening filled with Companionship and laughter. It is a male only event that welcomes both masons and non-masons, providing an opportunity for all to socialise together. 

 

Our speakers on the evening will be: Gordon Smith (ex-professional footballer) and Tam Cowan, (sports journalist and presenter), with ex-referee Bobby Tait acting as Master of Ceremonies.

 

Tickets for the Speakers Night are priced at £30 per person, which includes a 2-course meal with cheese & biscuits.

On Sunday 6th October 2024, the Grand Superintendent, MEC Gary D. Smith, attended the annual dinner of Glasgow Cryptic Council No. 50. The event was a great success, filled with wonderful company and raising essential funds for local charities. Congratulations to the Council on a job well done!

On Saturday, 5th October 2024, the Grand Superintendent, M.E. Companion Gary D. Smith, attended the annual meeting of the Provincial Grand Senatus of West Lancashire in Widnes.

He extends his congratulations to R.Dist Comp. Geoff Gill for hosting a well-organised meeting, a delightful festive board and thanks all those who attended especially from all over the UK.

There was a notable turnout of Scottish Companions eager to further their Masonic education.

On Friday 4th October 2024, the Grand Superintendent, MEC Gary D. Smith, along with MEC Alan Cuthill, Honorary Depute Grand Superintendent (and Provincial Grand Master of Glasgow Designate), visited Kelbourne School to present additional donations, following the £1,250 previously donated on behalf of the PGRAC of Glasgow in June. The latest contributions were made by the following organisations, of which both are members:

•£950 - Order of St Lazarus

•£500 - Guild of Masons Gand Sanhedrin and Glasgow and Auld West Guild Lodge

Congratulations to the following members of Rutherglen Lodge & Council No. 326 on their recent Honorary Rank Presentations at their Installation Meeting on Wednesday 2nd October 2024 in recognition of their commitment and dedication to Royal Ark Mariner Masonry:

It is my sad duty to inform you of the passing beyond the veils of MEC Charlie Munro P.Z. of The Prince's RAC No. 189 on Wednesday 2nd October 2024.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie's family at this sad time.

On Sunday 22nd September 2024, the Grand Superintendent, MEC Gary D. Smith, attended the annual dinner of Rhinsdale RAC No. 690 by invitation from MEC Alex Brown (Past Grand Superintendent of Lanarkshire Middle Ward), First Principal of Rhinsdale RAC No. 690, alongside MEC Jack Brown, the Grand Superintendent of Lanarkshire Middle Ward.

The event was a great success, raising much-needed funds for local charities, and was a wonderful day with excellent company.

In alignment with the values upheld by the PGRAC of Glasgow, M.E. Companions Gary D. Smith, Grand Superintendent, and David Morrison, Scribe E of Partick RAC No. 113, have been honored with promotions to and within the Order of St. James of Altopascio and the Order of the Fleur-de-Lys. On Thursday 19th September 2024, at the Pair Eating evening of the Incorporation of Masons of Glasgow, the Grand Superintendent MEC Gary D. Smith (a Past Deacon of the Incorporation) was accompanied by Provincial Grand Scribe E., EC Graeme D. Cameron.

Also in attendance were First Grand Principal MEC Ramsay McGhee (Immediate Past Grand Master Mason) and Honorary Depute Grand Superintendent MEC Alan Cuthill (Provincial Grand Master of Glasgow Designate).
